Dr. Scott Brabrand, Superintendent of Fairfax County Public Schools, recently visited our school. We had a wonderful time welcoming him and giving him a glance of the life as a Falcon!

I had a wonderful visit at Westbriar ES last Friday. Westbriar, located in Vienna, is doing some exciting work around Portrait of a Graduate (POG). For example, Meg Caudill explains the connection between POG and how her sixth graders “own their reading.” She talks about getting students out of their comfort zones, too. Principal Mary Tam shares how she has found exceptional educators from diverse backgrounds to join the Westbriar family.
